Castelrotto & the Dolomites

Discover, experience, and feel the magic of the UNESCO World Heritage Site

Perched in the sun at 1,060 meters above sea level, Castelrotto is the main village of the area with around 2,500 inhabitants. Known for its charming historic centre and prime location in the heart of the Dolomites, it is a sought-after holiday destination all year round.

The Alpe di Siusi cable car is just a few minutes away and easily reachable by an efficient shuttle service. As the largest alpine pasture in Europe, the Alpe di Siusi offers countless hiking opportunities in every season and, in winter, access to over 70 lifts and 180 kilometres of slopes in the Val Gardena – Alpe di Siusi ski area.

From Castelrotto, you can also take the gondola directly to the Marinzen Alp, and the lively Val Gardena valley is just a short drive away.
